Existing customers who purchased their Enterprise perpetual on-premise license prior to October 15, 2016, can move to and from the SaaS offering without purchasing a subscription. If they have a full license, they will not be charged for the number of identities. The customer will need to continue to purchases software maintenance. If the customer has not purchased the respective Knowledge Package for Identity Panel and/or MIM Test they will need to purchase one and complete the training. They do not need to renew the training for year two. Once the customer moves to the Azure Marketplace subscription, the annual maintenance becomes known as the Annual Fee.
“Customers who purchase Enterprise Panel products prior to October 15, 2016 (SaaS announcement date), will be able to migrate their license to the cloud (Azure BYOL model), anytime in 2017 or 2018, for no additional license cost or traditional monthly subscription fees. Your annual maintenance fees continue and become your Annual Fee.”
New Enterprise customers that purchase after October 15th who wish to later migrate to Identity Panel Marketplace Edition will receive a credit to be used toward the cost of a Identity Panel Azure Marketplace subscription, should they convert. The credit is determined by dividing the purchase price by 36 months. Subtract the number of months the customer has owned the Enterprise product. The balance and the balance of maintenance months becomes a generous credit toward the subscription. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash.
